If you have a current subscription plan with Best Software you should have received your upgrade to version 4.0 of MAS 90/200 by now. Due to the complexity of the upgrade, we suggest you utilize The DataWest Group for installation. However, if you are planning to upgrade on your own, you must follow the instructions that came with your upgrade.
As most of you know, there have been significant changes to the data file structure of the General Ledger in this new version. Due to these changes, there are pre-conversion utilities noted in the literature that should be run on the current version to insure a smooth upgrade process. The utilities check for potential problems such as Out of Balance postings, future year transactions and missing General Ledger accounts.
One last item: Whether you complete the upgrade and conversion yourself or with the help of our staff, please be sure to download the latest service pack from the support section of Best's website.
