How to recalculate customer high b PDF Print E-mail

You can recalculate customer high balances when you print statements or when you perform Period End Processing. Calculating high balances during Statement Printing updates the high balance for selected customers based on the date specified. Calculating high balances with Period End Processing updates high balances for all customers based on the date specified and includes all invoices on file, future transactions, and payments.
In both Statement Printing and Period End Processing, you can specify a date earlier than the current period; however, the high balance will reflect the most current period in which these processes have been run.

To recalculate customer high balances with Statement Printing

1 On the Accounts Receivable Period End menu, click Statement Printing.

2 In the Statement Printing window, enter the Statement Aging Date field and any other necessary fields specific to the information you want printed.

3  Select a range of customers.

4 Click Print.

Updated high balances for the customer(s) selected can be viewed at the High Bal field on the Customer Maintenance and Customer Inquiry History tabs.

To recalculate customer high balances with Statement Printing from Customer Maintenance or Customer Inquiry
You can also update customer high balances by accessing Statement Printing from the Customer Maintenance or Customer Inquiry Invoices tabs. Printing a statement from these tabs only updates the customer high balance for the customer selected.

1 On the Accounts Receivable Main menu, click Customer Maintenance or Customer Inquiry.

2 Enter the Customer No. field, and then click the Invoices tab.

3 Click the Statement button.

4 In the Statement Printing window, enter the Statement Aging Date field and any other necessary fields specific to the information you want printed.

5 Click Print.

The updated high balance for the customer selected can be viewed at the High Bal field on the Customer Maintenance or Customer Inquiry History tab after you refresh the data (exit the customer record and then access it again).


To recalculate customer high balances with Period End Processing

1 On the Accounts Receivable Period End menu, click Period End Processing.

2 In the Period End Processing window, click the Only Recalculate Customer High Balances option.

3 Enter a date at the as of date field that appears at the bottom of the window.

4 Click Proceed.

Updated high balances for all customers can be viewed at the High Bal field on the Customer Maintenance and Customer Inquiry History tabs.
