How to estimate cash flow analysis PDF Print E-mail

Estimated cash flow analysis provides a cash flow projection for four user-defined periods. The cash flow information is based on the current bank account balances, expected cash receipts from the Time and Billing and Accounts Receivable modules, and the estimated disbursements from the Accounts Payable and Purchase Order modules. Anticipated payroll expenditures and up to six additional cash source requirements, can be entered to provide a more accurate picture of future cash flow.

To estimate cash flow analysis

1 On the Bank Reconciliation Main menu, click Estimated Cash Flow Analysis.

2 At the Bank Codes To Include field, enter an individual bank code or select the Print All Bank Codes check box to select all codes.

3 On the Select tab, at the Period Ending Date 1-4 fields, enter the four dates through which you would like to show cash flow.

4 At the Payable Discount Option field, select Take Discounts When Due to take Accounts Payable discounts only when they are due. Select Always Take Discounts to always take discounts. Select Ignore All Discounts to ignore all discounts. This option is available only if the Accounts Payable module is integrated with Bank Reconciliation.

5 At the Cash Required Projection Format field, select AP Invoice Due Date to base the cash required projection on the invoice due date in the Accounts Payable Open Invoice file. Select AP Average Due Date to base the cash required projection on the average due date calculated using the invoice date from the Accounts Payable Open Invoice file and the average days for payment from the Accounts Payable Vendor master file.

6 At the Cash Expected Projection Format field, select AR Invoice Due Date to base the cash expected projection on the invoice due date in the Accounts Receivable Open Invoice file. Select AR Average Due Date to base the cash expected projection on the average due date calculated using the invoice due date from the Accounts Receivable Open Invoice file and average days for payment from the Accounts Receivable Customer master file.

7 Select the Include Open Purchase Orders check box to include open purchase order amounts as a cash requirement. Clear this check box to include only purchase orders that have been invoiced.

8 Click Print to print the analysis.
